Yes but today's systems are so primitive - most AI systems have one or two architectures while the brain is an interconnected mesh of many architectures. There is no reason to think today's systems would be conscious. And it may be that they will never be conscious if they are being simualted in CPUs and GPUs - one might need neuromorphic hardware to achieve the real time in-mind patterns that cause consciousness to emerge - we don't know.
