Understood. I build and train for cloud native things, so it is a big issue for me.

Good news is that Parallels says they will support Mac M1. (VirtualBox has no sign of that intention.) Good news also is that AWS has many ARM cpu types; so looks like one will be able to run ARM VMs on the Mac and build container images that will run in AWS. Not sure if other cloud providers have ARM cpus…
