True, there are worse companies than Amazon.

But what about mom-and-pop retail? GrubHub has been buying up domain names- allegedly to prevent small restaurants from having their own websites.

Mom and pop retail is the primary way that individuals were able to start their own business. Now it is almost impossible to do that except — ironically — in the restaurant business. For example, my wife’s mother has a boutique clothing store in a small town in NY. Over the past decade, she has seen her business drop so much that it is barely viable anymore. Online shopping is the cause.

Is that what we want? Everyone working for “the man”? — Walmart, Amazon, and Target? What about small business?
