This is a terrible oversimplification, and is - honestly - a pontification and platitude that is not helpful. What teams need is the right kinds of leadership, along the right dimensions; and those dimensions are contextual. One cannot oversimplify this by saying, in effect, "trust the team". That is nonsense. It is like saying that a good marriage is easily achieved if one trusts one's partner. There is much, much, much more to it than that, and a simple platitude is not helpful and distracts from the issues.
You have set up SAFe as a strawman to knock down, with the only alternative presented as Scrum. A real discussion on this should not center on Scrum as the only solution to all of the many challenges. In fact, Scrum and its rigid roles and team-only focus is usually part of the problem.
