The thing is, if today some old guy wrote a story claiming he had witnessed a resurrection, we would ask, "How likely is that?" and dismiss it.

But because the story was been included in a text that is embraced by a large institution, and people are brainwashed to believe it from an early age, those people accept it "on faith" - irrationally. Even very smart people, because they have been indoctrinated.

Religions are the ultimate tribe: they divide us. Each of the main religions teach their _their_ people will ascend, or are "special" - and the others are less. Religion is the root of at least half of the world's problems.
