It comes down to risk management: the chances of getting very sick from infection (without being vaccinated) versus the chances of getting sick from a vaccine. Quite a few people in my network died from COVID. My neighbor lost her mother. A colleague lost both of his parents. My business partner's husband lost the senior partner of his law firm.
