People use meetings for too many things. My advice: eliminate most standing meetings, especially daily meetings or weekly ones. Instead, use broadcast mechanisms (slack, email, dashboards) for sharing info - don't use meetings for that.

A meeting is very costly in terms of people's time, focus, and energy. A meeting should be held _only_ when there is an actual issue to talk through.

An exception is that meetings are useful for maintaining a relationship, so keep those that serve that purpose.
