People don't understand him. I see comments here that so misinterpret the man. He is not a control freak. He is not greedy. He is not driven by ego.

Musk is a workaholic. That is true. But what drives him is his dreams. His current dreams are (1) settle Mars, and (2) make the world a better place. For #2 he had chosen to try to shift transportation to electricity, and also try to solve the looming AI threat - hence his Neuralink initiative.

Musk is not a typical billionaire. To categorize him with the others is wrong. He lives in a tiny house on the Boca Chica complex. He does not have a yacht and does not spend lavishly on himself. All his effort and resources go into his endeavors to do 1 & 2 above.

That's not ego, its not greed.

He often says things that get him into trouble. That's because he says what he actually thinks. He does not lie, or manipulate. And yet he is criticize for that.

People really aught to give him a break. He is trying to make the world a better place - something that more billionaires could take a lesson from.
