People are neurodiverse, and distance actually _HELPS_ some people (like me).

I have business partners who are remote. We talk for an hour every day on Zoom. But last year we all had to travel to a client in South Africa. We met in person for the first time!

And guess what? I feel that the quality of our collaboration _decreased_.

Communication frequency is a terrible metric of communication quality. More is not better.

I prefer async communication because I can focus better. I think more deeply, because I am not worried that I will be interrupted. I can _choose_ when to read something sent, or when to respond.

People vary.
