It is relative. The US has been doing better than every other country. The current stagnation is global.

I think that the pandemic triggered changes and uncertainty. And then AI came on the heels of that. Companies are reluctant to hire, and they are testing to see if AI can increase productivity so that they don't have to hire.

The situation is not a result of US government policy. In fact, policy has enabled us to weather these changes better than most others.
