In such a system, why would I see work? If I am paid no matter what, why not just sit at home and do what I want to do? In my case, that would be read, possibly go back to school. But many others would watch TV.
For example, I work as a consultant. In the proposed system, why seek clients? They would not be paying me — they would be paying the government. So what’s the point of trying to find those clients?
On inflation, who sets prices? If no one gets to keep the revenue from their business, why care of the company is profitable? Seems like prices would have to be set by the government — hence we then have a planned economy, like the Soviets.
