Indeed. When I upload a video to vimeo I can back up to any point instantly.

It makes me wonder if (A) these companies have robust user experience teams, and those teams are incompetent, or if (B) other people are actually happy with these interfaces and all the garbage shoved at them. Not sure which it is!
