I was told that the Scrum Alliance revenue has been declining. That is telling, if true.
David's article makes many valid points, and thanks to him for that. But I sense a tone of "If it does not work for you, then you are not doing it right".
To achieve agility, one does not need Scrum. In fact, IME, it only gets in the way, by distracting people from the things that matter.
And it is not even a good fit for flow-oriented work, which increasingly characterizes DevOps and BDD.
I have never, ever seen Scrum help - I have only seen it hinder.
