I like that you went back to first principles ("radical candor") and examined what you are really trying to do. Rather than being constrained by Shape Up or Scrum or anything, you took the ideas you liked and crafted your own process for the moment.

Process often needs to change over time. But to be in a position to change it, you need to be in control of it - it needs to be _your_ process - not someone else's.
