I have relatives who voted for Trump, and are hugely supportive of Trump, and they are most definitely not racist.

You are generalizing people — and that is as bad as being racist. I know you don’t mean to, but it is.

Many Trump supporters want to lessen government, and feel that our system has been taken advantage of. That does not make them racist. In the last presidential election they had two choices. There was no one running who advocated Trump’s policies (which many people favor) but who also is not a boor.

It is regrettable that Trump says offensive things; but his policies resonate with what many Americans want. That does not make them racist, even if he is.
