I agree about the behavior, but I wish you had left out the "old" and "white", and also "men". I have seen women be nasty and intimidating to salespeople. My step son works in Starbucks, and has had a lot of nasty women customers. And the anti-old thing is quite annoying, since I am 67, and I don't behave the way that your article describes, so it really feels like an unfair attack on a category that you have defined that includes me.
And including "white" is just racist. I am sorry, but it is. And what is "white" anyway? You would probably call me white, but my grandmother was from Turkey. A genetic analysis would reveal how diverse most of us are. What the heck does "white" mean? It feels disparaging - like another attack. How can we hope to go beyond prejudice when we keep using these race-based terms?
