The problem is, there are so many jerks. Bill Gates was a huge jerk until his wife got him to change (kind of).

Most brilliant people are highly narcissistic, arrogant, and socially inept. If we expect those who are brilliant to _also_ be great people, we will eliminate 90% of the brilliant people.
