I am not against trans people.

I am against encouraging young people to think that just because they feel like they "should have been born as XYZ" _makes_ them XYZ.

But if someone has anxiety about it, that is gender dysphoria. And people who have that condition deserve treatment, respect, and safety. Transitioning is the only known treatment. We need to be supportive of that.

The anti-trans hate is entirely a result of the current trend among young people with regard to gender fluidity. Parents are terrified of that. The "hate" is a backlash.

This is unfortunate, because gender dysphoria is real, and people who have that need everyone's support.
