He is wrong. He claims that being in the office is better for everyone. It is better for some people; for others, it is worse. I know that for me, being in an office has always been miserable, and I am far more effective and productive in my own environment. And not being in the office has zero impact on my ability to collaborate - I talk with my team on Zoom every day, and we trade comments in documents, and things work extremely well remotely. It is better - not worse.
